Hello fellow content creators!
Today I want to revisit one of my favorite keyword research strategies that consistently delivers golden nuggets for content creation - Glossary Keywords.
What Are Glossary Keywords?
Simply put, these are the specialized terms and definitions specific to any niche. Every industry and hobby has its own vocabulary, and these terms make perfect seed keywords for your content strategy.
Why They Work So Well
They're naturally niche-relevant
They often have a decent search volume with lower competition
They help establish your authority in the space
They're perfect for creating comprehensive, value-packed content
How to Find Them
Google "[your niche] glossary" or "[your niche] terms and definitions"
Look through industry association websites
Check textbooks and educational resources in your field
Browse Wikipedia pages related to your niche
For example, if you're in the gardening niche, a simple search for "gardening glossary" will reveal terms like "bolting," "deadheading," and "hardening off" - all perfect for targeted content pieces.
Turning Terms into Content
Each glossary term can become:
A dedicated blog post
Part of a larger guide
The foundation for a content silo
FAQ content that drives traffic
Need a Shortcut?
For those who want to save time, I've created a custom Glossary Keyword GPT tool that generates unlimited niche-specific glossaries and automatically categorizes them into content silos. It's available for just $3 and can help you quickly build out your content calendar.
